Long-Distance Denver Transport

The drive from Cheyenne to Denver takes 90–110 minutes under normal conditions. I-25 between Cheyenne and Denver passes through the Cheyenne Ridge and can experience severe winter weather, particularly between November and April. We monitor road conditions and communicate proactively about weather-related delays.

Wyoming Border Crossing

Crossing from Wyoming to Colorado is seamless on I-25 — no border stops or documentation required. However, Medicaid coverage is state-specific. Wyoming Medicaid patients traveling to Colorado for care need prior authorization from Wyoming Medicaid. We can help coordinate this process.

I-25 Weather and Wind

The Cheyenne area is known for high winds and sudden winter storms. I-25 between Cheyenne and Fort Collins is frequently closed or restricted during severe weather. We monitor conditions and will reschedule if the drive is unsafe.

Advance Scheduling Required

Due to the distance from our Denver base, Cheyenne pickups require at least 48–72 hours advance notice. For recurring transport, we set up standing schedules. Call 720-210-0058 as early as possible.

VA Transport Coordination

Many Cheyenne veterans travel to the Rocky Mountain Regional VA in Aurora for specialty care. We coordinate with both the Cheyenne VA and the Denver VA on transport logistics and can assist with VA transportation benefit paperwork.

Overnight Arrangements

For Cheyenne patients with multiple-day Denver appointments, we can coordinate with Denver-area hotels that accommodate wheelchair users. We also provide return transport after multi-day stays.
